Ashkan Honarvar

Ashkan Honarvar nació en Shiraz, Irán en 1980. Actualmente trabaja y vive en los Países Bajos y Noruega. La artista iraní utiliza el collage como un medio de representación y manifestación creativa, técnica que descubrió durante una clase de arte e inspirado por el movimiento dadaísta. Su trabajo no sólo ha destacado por su maestría en el uso del collage, sino también por el discurso que desarrolla en cada una de sus series. El arte de Ashkan Honarvar se ocupa de los aspectos más oscuros de la mente humana a través de la belleza innegable e inevitable del cuerpo humano. El cuerpo humano universal , utilizado como herramienta para la búsqueda de la identidad, es el punto central de su obra. Por la disección y la reordenación de las imágenes con la visión estética cuidadosa , Honarvar crea con una oscuridad macabra intrigante. En su serie' Faces ' , Honarvar desafía al espectador a considerar las heridas físicas y psicológicas causadas por la guerra. Usando imágenes existentes de jóvenes soldados de la primera guerra mundial, Honarvar pinta sobre las imágenes con golpes feroces y líneas elegantes , destacando los sufrimientos físicos. Su serie de bocetos , titulado ' Lines ' profundiza en la distorsión subconsciente del cuerpo humano. Su serie de collage llamado "Buscando a Hitler ' está formado por imágenes de cuerpos heridos expertamente combinados con imágenes de la inocencia , como los bebés y flores recién nacidos. Con estos collages Honarvar busca el símbolo universal del mal. El arte de Ashkan Honarvar es una paradoja. Por un lado, está la gravedad del asunto: una imagen impactante , y por otro lado hay una belleza macabra en su obra.
